The Moos-Rundweg near Murnau is also highly recommended for a day trip. It is about 12km long and cannot be shortened. Towards the end, you can stop off at an Alpine hut with beer garden.

In good weather, you have a beautiful view of the mountains (Estergebirge, Wettersteingebirge, Ammergau Alps) and over wonderfully green meadows. The section on the boardwalk is also a very special part of the route. There is a parking lot for hikers at the starting point and shortly afterwards an alpine hut with a beer garden, where we stopped for a bite to eat at the end. We walked the circular route in a clockwise direction (i.e. southern part in the moor with sun first) so that we had the shadier part along the slope towards the end.

View to the south towards the Ester Mountains and Wetterstein Mountains. Wooden huts along the way, some artistically decorated. Halfway along the route, there is a relatively long section on a wooden walkway.
