Homemade lemonade
A homemade lemonade for particularly warm days? Best served ice cold with fresh mint and crushed ice. Best wishes to everyone who lives in the attic.
Ingredients
- 4 untreated (organic) lemons
- 200g sugar
- 500ml water
Preparation
- Peel the lemons thinly, taking care not to peel the white, bitter underside of the lemon.
- Boil the lemon peel with water and sugar for 5 minutes until bubbling
- Leave the syrup to cool while squeezing out the lemon juice
- Mix the cooled syrup with the lemon juice and pour through a sieve, ready.
- Serving suggestion: ice cold (cool the sparkling water, syrup and glasses briefly in the fridge) with ice cubes (ideally crushed ice), fresh mint and sparkling water (3:1 mixture)
