A homemade lemonade for particularly warm days? Best served ice cold with fresh mint and crushed ice. Best wishes to everyone who lives in the attic.

Ingredients

  • 4 untreated (organic) lemons
  • 200g sugar
  • 500ml water

Preparation

  1. Peel the lemons thinly, taking care not to peel the white, bitter underside of the lemon.
  2. Boil the lemon peel with water and sugar for 5 minutes until bubbling
  3. Leave the syrup to cool while squeezing out the lemon juice
  4. Mix the cooled syrup with the lemon juice and pour through a sieve, ready.
  5. Serving suggestion: ice cold (cool the sparkling water, syrup and glasses briefly in the fridge) with ice cubes (ideally crushed ice), fresh mint and sparkling water (3:1 mixture)
